Calibre Search are working with one of the fastest growing specialist housebuilders in the UK. They specialise in Modular housing and due to further expansion, they are looking to add to their already busy team.You will be joining one of the countrys leading modular homes manufacturers as an Associate within their design team. To date the team is predominantly made up of Architectural and Structural based personnel and you will be working alongside and reportinginto a talented and people focused Head of Engineering.The purpose of this role is to manage the design and development process of a number of large scale site projects. You will have a large input into the product portfolio and will be managing various site works packages for tender and construction. Engagingwith external consultants, contractors and suppliers, the role will see you engage with their construction team and assist in the development of site plans and programmes and ensure these are delivered on time and within budget. Within the position you willbe involved with establishing design and sustainability strategy for the homes, producing schemes that must be suitable for manufacture and work closely with the floor to ensure that everything is working as well as you planned.You will be a Chartered Engineer and have a minimum of 10 years UK work experience within design engineering. it would beneficial if you have worked on modular/off site construction before and be able to work with 3D modelling and 2D draughting packages.This is not merely "house bashing", you will genuinely be developing a blueprint for the future.The culture of the company is one of "people before profit" and as such their houses are to a higher specification than their competitors while the organisation is focused on making a real difference; one of their targets is to address the fact that less than1% of new build homes achieve an EPC A rating.The facilities are brand new and purpose built while being sited within easy travel of all motorway networks with ample parking.
