Job Description

Early Years Teaching Assistant (Part-Time)Location: South Sheffield Primary SchoolDays: Wednesday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm dailyHours: Part-timeStart Date: ASAPQualifications Required: Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualificationAre you passionate about early years education and dedicated to supporting young learners We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team at a moderately-sized primary school in South Sheffield. This part-timeposition (3 days a week, Wednesday to Friday) is an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual with experience in supporting phonics interventions and a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, focusing on phonics interventions.
  • Support the implementation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring a holistic approach to early years education.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to assess and track the progress of individual students.
  • Foster positive relationships with both students and parents, promoting effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Proven experience in supporting phonics interventions.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
