Our Client, Sheffield City Council are recruiting for a Logistics Technician to support the Building Services team.Under the supervision of the Team Leader and with a strong emphasis on quality, customer care and teamwork, you will deliver a site support and logistics function within any area of the City within clearly established and monitored standards.Responsibilities:1) To collect, drive and deliver materials and other goods to operatives in a timely manner to ensure effective service delivery.2). Identify and undertake a range of labouring activities and associated work as directed, ensuring pre-start risk assessments are undertaken.3). To drive a vehicle as allocated by the Service, ensuring that you drive in a safe manner and comply with all driver policies.4). Report to the team leader on any hazards or unsafe practices, accidents or incidents in line with health and safety guidance.5). Under the direction of the Team Leader the post holder will carry out tasks, for example:• Collect goods and materials from stores/supplier and deliver to site• Cleaning of residential properties • Clearing properties of white goods, furniture, refuse, and any other items left by the previous tenant to achieve the agreed lettable standard • rubbish collection and disposal• liaison with tenants • cleaning and clearing gardens and outbuildings• escalating security issues and health and safety hazards to Team Leader for specialist contractors or services to clear • maintaining tools and equipment• disposal of waste completing all relevant documentation• using the issued mobile device for recording purposes, storing of property photos and communications
