Job PurposeReporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing a bulk storage & cylinder distribution facility. Focused on safety and compliance, you will effectively manage all aspects relating to people, assets, processes and performance associatedwith the site.AccountabilitiesManaging safety in accordance with the Safety Management System to meet compliance and proactively drive a positive safety culture* Responsible for leading and motivating a team to deliver service excellence, in line with customer requirements and the business strategy* Effectively managing the site in accordance with business and legislative requirements* Robustly managing all aspects of Driver and Vehicle compliance, ensuring adherence with vehicle operating standards and compliance to Drivers hours and Working Time Directive regulations* Managing accordance with company processes and procedures relating to sales, stocks, financial controls within the operating system (CODAS)* Ensuring all practices adhere to Flogas Operating Procedures and Works Instructions* Maintaining the use, inspection, and maintenance of safety critical equipment (PSPIs)* Professional approach to people management to drive effective team working and positive engagement* Managing site costs within budgeted levels and stocks in line with customer demands* Responsible for ensuring that all colleagues receive regular 121s and development in line with their role and aspirations and our performance management process* Maintaining control of business assets in alignment with expectations and standards* Retaining a positive can do attitude, problem solving and influencing the factors to facilitate excellent customer serviceThis job description is for guidance purposes and the role holder will be expected to do any other tasks as is reasonably expected of themMeasures and KPIs * Ensuring delivery of a Safety-First culture through leadership, training and on the job coaching* Delivery of all financial targets as detailed for the site* Delivery of excellent customer service* Delivery of all people metrics including employee engagement, colleague turnover, sickness absenceKey Competencies: * Results Driven* Commercial awareness* Excellent Interpersonal and Influencing skills* Known for Developing self and others* Able to demonstrate building relationships at pace and in challenging situationsJob Holder Requirements Essential * Visible and credible leader* Knowledge of working to Health & Safety and Employment law practice* Proven experience of effective performance management and financial controls processes/systems (P&L, Budgets, KPIs, SLAs, PSPIs)* Computer literate, including competence in Outlook, Word & Excel* Able to schedule multiple tasks effectively* Able to demonstrate numeracy and literacy skills* Able to demonstrate effective communication with customers and colleagues at all levels* Able to show effective management of people and problems* Professional and positive, conducts themselves with integrity and honesty at all times* Prepared to work flexibly to accommodate seasonal influences* Full car driving licence holderDesirable * CPC National or International holder* Knowledge of Bulk Tanker operations* Experience of CODAS or similar operating systems* Knowledge of LPG or other high hazard industryFlogas Britain is an equal opportunities employer.
