Job Description

What youll doWe have an amazing opportunity for a Senior iOS Engineer to join the first Native App squad in our Core Customer Tribe in Sheffield.You will be part of an agile, native app squad responsible for the delivery and upkeep of our account experience across a range of SB&G products, including Sky Bet, Sky Vegas and Super 6.

  • Development and maintenance of the Native Account experience across our brands
  • Advocate improvements to the current development process
  • Ensure the squad can meet the security, regulatory and compliance requirements that come with ensuring reliable and trusted solutions to requirements
  • Collaborate with your squad and others to resolve engineering problems and incidents
  • Involved in the full delivery process from elaboration to the delivery in the App Store
  • Play a proactive part in owning the technical systems your squad works with; taking responsibility for monitoring, measuring performance and addressing technical issues when required
  • Work in an agile way, with other developers and test engineers, alongside a Lead Software Engineer and a Product Owner
  • Working with Product Owners and the Principal Software Engineer to identify opportunities to utilise the latest technology trends to improve the customer experience
  • Write well structured, testable and maintainable code

  • Swift
  • Objective-C
  • Experience using the Xcode IDE
  • Familiar with designing, creating and distributing SDKs for other teams to consume
  • Familiar with the latest iOS SDK (iOS12)
  • Understanding of HTTP protocols, requests and responses
  • Familiar with using CocoaPods for dependency management
  • Use of git source control
  • A keen interest in the latest mobile development trends
