Job Description

A Sheffield school are looking for a determined SEN learning support assistant to join their team as soon as possible on a long-term basis with the potential to go permanent.Do you have a passion for supporting SEN pupilsAre you a dedicated SEN learning support assistant with experienceAre you currently looking for a challenging but rewarding careerAs an SEN learning support assistant, you will be working 1:1 with a pupil diagnosed with autism and challenging behaviour in and out of the classroom.Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant.Location: SheffieldRequired:. Have experience working with SEN children on a 1:1 basis or in classes.. Have knowledge and understanding of various SEN needs. Be flexible, patient and proactive.. Be able to communicate with staff members effectively and efficiently.. Be trained in safeguarding or have relevant experience.. Be able to commute to work long term on time and accordingly.Desirable:. Team Teach Trained. NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.. Understanding of the UK SEN Code of Practice.Skills:. Effective communicator. Time management. Patience and resilience in challenging environments.
