Job Description

Semi-Skilled Building Services Maintenance Engineer / Handyman - Sheffield - Up to £27,000About the CompanyOur client is an established Facilities Management organisation, that works UK wide with Commercial and Public Clients maintaining their buildings. Due to growth and winning new contracts are looking for a Building Maintenance Engineer or Handyman for the Sheffieldarea.The role is working on a static site 2 days a week in Sheffield, and working the following 3 days on Contracts in/ around Sheffield, traveling no further than the North West and Midlands.The successful candidate will be responsible for general maintenance tasks across Retail Commercial buildings, undergoing basic handyman duties and checking the general maintenance of the buildings.Semi-Skilled Building Services Maintenance Engineer / Handyman - The Rewards

  • Salary Negotiable DOE - £27,000
  • Working Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
  • Any hours worked after 40 hours Is time and a half, Saturdays are paid time and a half and Sundays and Bank Holidays are double time

Semi-Skilled Building Services Maintenance Engineer / Handyman - Requirements
  • Basic plumbing skills, testing tap temperatures - Training is provided
  • Previous experience gained within a buildings maintenance environment
  • Emergency light testing, and fire alarm testing - Desirable
  • General building maintenance experience
Semi-Skilled Building Services Maintenance Engineer / Handyman- Responsibilities
  • All works will be in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act requirement and to company safety procedures and contract specifications.
  • Address minor fabric issues.
  • Ensure the correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure.
  • Provide engineering condition reports and quotations as requested by Management.
  • Ensure completion of Site Log Books where applicable
  • Maintain good customer interface skills.
  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance, minor improvements and capital work
  • Ensure all jobs are completed to a high standard
  • Ensure jobs are completed wherever possible within the agreed contract SLAs
  • Coordinate any required job extensions with Management and the Helpdesk
  • Carry out ad-hoc M&E tasks as instructed by the Contract Manager (training provided)
