Job Description

Marks Sattin are currently recruiting a Purchase Ledger Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract, based in Sheffield. As a Purchase Ledger Manager, you will be responsible for leading the overall AP function which consists of approximately 25 direct reports. Duties will include, however not be limited to;

  • Review of transactions, approvals and processes
  • Conducting monthly reviews of updates, bank detail amendments, supplier audit reconciliations and debit balance/unallocated cash reviews
  • Complete quarterly internal audit reviews
  • Continuous Improvement / System Implementation
  • Provide a core service of accurate and efficient invoice processing
  • Maintain and submit accurate weekly multi-currency cash flow forecasts for Accounts Payable
  • Review potential risks in supplier accounts such as credit limits/queries)
  • Oversee the recruitment and candidate selection for the Accounts Payable Team with a key focus on service excellence and continuous improvement
  • Conduct weekly meetings to ensure the team are engaged and informed of changes in programs, policies and procedures
The successful candidate will;
  • Have demonstrable in-depth knowledge and understanding of End-to-End P2P process in an ERP system
  • Have worked in a similar or relevant Management position.
  • Wider business/finance experience
  • Knowledgeable in acquisitions (AP focused) - would be highly desirable
  • Experience of large-scale transformation programs that are multi-country - would be highly desirable
