Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturing business to recruit a Production Manager to join their Sheffield facility.Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will lead and manage the operations unit and will be instrumental in creating and sustaining a good working environment and leading and encouraging teamwork.Duties and responsibilities of the Production Manager include:

  • Conducting accident investigations promptly ensuring robust preventative measures are put in place
  • Creation and adherence to a sustainable 6S /CI culture
  • Driving Quality performance as part of site zero defects strategy
  • ensuring utilisation of defined processes/tools to assist in root cause corrective action implementation and rework reduction projects.
  • Responsible for the management of overtime, productivity analysis and optimisation of subcontract/despatch
  • Assist in the management of inventory, WIP and finished goods in line with optimal levels
  • Delivery of world-class stock takes performance, ensuring inventory accuracy of 99.98%.
  • Implementation and execution of visual production planning across all product lines
  • Maintaining active communication cross-functionally and with the customer
We are keen to speak with Production Managers with the following:
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Qualification in leadership or management
  • Qualification in lean tools & principals or Six Sigma
  • IOSH or other H&S qualification
  • Experience in a similar industry/business in operations management, project management or similar roles
  • Working in a high-pressured environment
