National Account Manager - Building ProductsJob Title: National Account Manager - Building ProductsIndustry Sector: Area Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, Builders Merchants, Merchants, National Merchants, Independent Merchants, Buying Groups, Jewson, Travis Perkins, Wolseley, MKM, Tarpaulins, Sandbags, Ratchet Straps, Bulkbags, HessianArea to be covered: National (predominantly Birmingham to Leeds)Remuneration: £38,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) + circa £7,000 commissionBenefits: Fully expensed company car OR car allowance & full benefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Building Products will involve:

  • National Sales Manager position selling a range of products such as: tarpaulins, proof sheets, sandbags, ratchet straps, bulkbags, hessian/ jute, nets and associated products
  • All of your time will be spent managing circa 40-50 national merchants, independent merchants & buying groups such as: Jewsons, Wolseley, MKM & Greenhams
  • Inheriting a well-established area currently doing just shot of £1m
  • Upselling different products to long standing accounts
  • Will be required to travel nationally however with the bulk on the work being Birmingham to Leeds
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Building Products with:
  • Must have sold to national merchant, independent merchants and buying groups
  • Open on products sold
  • Hungry and with a desire to succeed
  • Must be able to manage existing accounts and generate new business
  • IT Literate
