To contribute towards the running of a highly effective predictive and preventative maintenance system to prevent unscheduled outages. Directing and influencing othersand driving can-do approach to a high quality of work and Plant standards.Duties and Responsibilities Facilitating day to day maintenance activities moving from reactive to proactive maintenance methodology (Hands On Mechanical Engineering problem solving) To understand complex Mechanical systems, be able to diagnose problems, perform safety & quality risk assessments and effect repairs quickly and safely. Leading the development, creation and implementation of PPM schedules to achieve maximum machine availability Utilising the site CMMS for generation and management of maintenance schedules. Technical Support for breakdown activity / Collate breakdown data / information and input to site CMMS including analysis work to determine priorities for a proactive approach. Accountability for driving housekeeping standards and other established working standards Lead key continuous improvement activities; DMB, PSRs, VSM, and project work. Facilitate lean ways of working to minimise waste and maximise efficiency, ensuring departmental objectives are achieved Facilitate training and upskilling activities to help maintain and improve site and technical knowledge within the Team Reviewing and up -rev of SWP / Other document Review Issuing Permit to Work to defined standards Critical Spares AnalysisManagement of sundry items. Contribute towards the control and improvement of critical spares requirements. Coordination and Management of contractors on site Deployment and Execution - Hands on support to shift managero Planned Maintenanceo Statutory Requirementso Statutory Inspectionso Capital Projectso Shut Down activities and Major Overhaul worksSkills, Experience and QualificationDesirable A relevant vocational qualification e.g. HND, Engineering Degree or any other recognised qualifications Experience in Mechanical Engineering in a Manufacturing Environment (VIM, ESR, VAR Furnaces an advantage) Ability to direct others without having direct management accountability Experience of Maintenance Management systemsPirana desirableEXPERIENCE OF WORKING WITH FURNACES WITHIN THE FOLLOWING INDUSTRIES WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS SUCH AS STEEL, GLASS, AGGREGATES, FOOD , AUTOMOTIVE etc or any OTHER INDUSTRY WHICH USE FURNACES.FURNACE EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL.DAYS ONLY ROLE - MON TO FRIDAY
