Mechanical Engineer - Heavy IndustryLocation: SheffieldSalary: £33,254 + Pension + Overtime + BenefitsShift Pattern: Monday - Friday Double Days, 6am-1pm & 1pm-8pm Reference: 5030/ADThe CompanyMy client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers within its field of specialist metal alloys and associated products. The company is a well established producer to the global markets, having plants in the UK, Europe, Asia, and Americas, with over 75 yearsexperience within manufacturing. The UK site is looking once again to expand due to further investment, within this globally secure organisation.Key Skills

  • Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience of PLC systems & Heavy Machinery
  • Understanding of PPM Systems
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies, working on several fast moving lines, driven by PLCautomated machinery. The ideal candidate will come from a medium to heavy engineering background, but this is by no means a necessity and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with an electrical bias, (but multi-skilled)and have PLC experience. Also, able, and willing to be involved in the maintenance of vacuum pump furnaces and steel forming machinery, general mechanical work on pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes other manufacturing heavy machinery.
