Job Description

My client is a global leading provider and manufacturer of healthcare solutions. Due to continuing success, they are expanding rapidly which presents an opportunity for a Locum Pharmacy Technician to join them for a minimum of 3 months in an accuracy checkingrole. Working as part of a team, you will support the homecare pharmacists in the day-to-day formulation, dispensing, ordering and supply of products for homecare patients.

  • Salary: £22.00-£27.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: 22.5 - 37.5 per week
  • Schedule: Day shift - Monday to Friday
  • Benefits: Company pension, Employee discount and On-site parking
Responsibilities:
  • To dispense and check medicinal products from the Medical Pharmacy e.g. Prescriptions for Homecare patients.
  • To set up and check homecare formulations and prescriptions, liaising with referring prescribers as appropriate.
  • To support the Pharmacy Team Leader with maintenance of the pharmacy system and procedures and deal with day-to-day queries and issues.

  • Stock disposals
  • Returns
  • Delivery planning and production planning;
  • Change management to delivery planning
  • Production output and patient delivery requirements
  • Work with other departments to ensure the department has appropriate stock levels of all prescription items.
About You: To apply for this role, in addition to pharmacy technician experience you should have the following qualifications:
  • Pharmacy Dispensing qualification NVQ Level 2 minimum
  • Registration with GPhC
  • Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) or equivalent
