Job Description

Java Developer - (Java, Spring, JavaScript, Node.Js, Kubernetes) - Sheffield/Remote£30K - £45K plus benefits (hybrid/remote work, 5% pension, your birthday off, training)Three reasons why this is the role for you

They have harboured an incredibleworking environment where their team collaborate and push themselves daily with the support of their experienced mentors.The RoleThe role involves development and support for enterprise-grade e-commerce websites (HCL Commerce/IBM WebSphere Commerce) using e.g. Java, JavaScript, SQL and REST. As well as this there will be duties including migration of legacy applications to moderncontainer-based microservice architectures whilst delivering to deadlines working in a Scrum methodology, using effective time management skills.You will need to use excellent communication and documentation skills, in a role which will be regularly customer facing and work collaboratively with both local and offshore teams and developers.Skills needed are:
  • Java (Spring) development experience
  • JavaScript and Node.js
  • An understanding of web technologies and an appreciation for capacity and performance design considerations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • One or more cloud container platforms (e.g. Red Hat OpenShift, Google GKS, AWS EKS, Azure AKS) - Proven experience, deploying apps within Google Cloud Platform is preferable.
  • Docker with Kubernetes experience being beneficial.
  • REST API development
