Job: IT Field Engineer - MSPLocation: Dinnington, Sheffield, South YorkshireSalary: £25,000 - £35,000 p.a DOEVerus Recruitment Partners has the pleasure of supporting a well-established IT managed service provider in the Sheffield area and we are keen to speak with experienced IT Field Engineers looking for the next step. As my clients new IT Field Engineer, you will be part of the field technical team and you will be providing support to a broad range of businesses throughout the region. Your time will be split between onsite work at customer premises and office based remotework. You will be responsible for the planning and deployment of customer servers, network upgrades, migrations, workstation replacements as well as day to day maintenance and support of customer networks. This will require a good understanding of TCP/IP routingconcepts, Windows Server Operating Systems, server hardware platforms, Microsoft 365 and knowledge of backup and disaster recovery models.The Role:* Work as part of the service team dealing with escalations from the service desk, diagnosing problems & customer support issues.* Planning and delivering customer upgrade and installation project work.* Ensure new projects are delivered on time and ensure customer service level agreements are maintained.* Take ownership of projects and tasks to ensure that the desired results are achieved.* Championing the highest levels of service and delivery.* Ensure internal documentation is kept up to date.Essential Key Skills:* ADSL / Print Server / Router & Firewall configuration.* Experience with Microsoft Office Products/365.* Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/2016.* Experience with Microsoft Windows Server.* Server Hardware platform experience.* Hardware diagnosis & problem solving - take part in workshop repairs.* Understanding of TCP/IP and DNS.* VPN principles & setup.* Knowledge of Backup & disaster recovery models.* Hold a UK driving licence.What would make you stand out: (Desirable skills)* Be a Microsoft Certified Professional or above.* Software / programming experience.About You:* Be articulate, confident and organised.* Possess excellent communication and listening skills.* Excellent telephone manner.* Experience in an IT Field Engineer role.* Be a team player and integrate into the existing support team.Whats in it for you* Competitive starting salary £25,000 - £35,000 p.a (DOE).* 20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
