Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently looking to recruit an IT Field engineer to cover UK sites for one of our key clients based in Sheffield.As IT Field Engineer you will provide hardware, software and application support across all UK site, ensuring a first class user experience.Please note this is a site-based role Monday – Friday and comes with a company vehicle – salary up to £40,000Key duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd line technical support to staff members, addressing complex hardware and software issues
  • Manage the IT Help Desk application, ensuring timely resolution of tickets logged, be the escalation point, produce KPI reporting to give overview of service levels, problem areas, system/application weaknesses etc.
  • Manage user accounts, including user creation, modification, and termination, ensuring adherence to security policies and access controls
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, network connectivity, and hardware peripherals
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure projects, such as system upgrades, network enhancements, and software deployments
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure
  • Adhere to ITIL and service management principles, following incident, problem, and change management processes
We are keen to speak with IT professionals who possess the following skills and experience:
  • Proven experience as a 2nd Line Support Technician or similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, hardware, and software applications
  • Experience in user management, including account creation, modification, and termination
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing timely resolutions
  • Availability for on-call support on a rotational basis
  • Full UK Driving licence and the ability to travel to company sites within the UK and ROI when required with some overnight stays
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyse and resolve technical issues independently
  • Experience with IT service management tools and incident tracking systems
