Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an Interim Buyer who is immediately available, or available on short notice, to join a well-established manufacturing business in Sheffield. This is a 12 month FTC with potential to become permanent due to imminent expansion of the team. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for raising & expediting purchase orders for UK & subsidiaries to a high degree of accuracy, in a timely manner
  • Raise & respond to supplier queries
  • Update the purchase orders & ERP system to reflect changes
  • Review purchase orders incoming to ensure order quantities are sufficient & planned in time against production & sales requirement
  • Work with sales to answer queries such as dispatch & PO incoming information
  • Process US subsidiary orders on ERP
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience in a procurement role at Buyer level as a minimum
  • Experience processing & expediting orders using an ERP system.
  • Previous experience working with data to validate purchase orders.
  • Operated within a manufacturing / industrial environment
  • Experience of MRP systems & master data input
This is a great opportunity and requires someone on site 5 days per week. Working hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday - Friday. If you live within a reasonable commute to Sheffield and start as soon as possible, please dont hesitate to apply!
