HR DirectorateHR Workforce Systems and Information TeamsHR Workforce Systems and Information ManagerSalary: Band 8a £45,753 to £51,668 pa (dependent on experience)Location: SheffieldS10 3THHours: 37.5 Post Ref: 457-20-047-SMThis is a challenging but exciting new post that has been developed to respond to the Trust need for a specialist to lead the strategic development and operational use of key workforce systems – including ESR and Erostering systems, taking account in particular of how these systems integrate and the use of system generated information.The successful candidate will have a proven track record and extensive experience in NHS workforce systems with the ability to work flexibly under pressure to achieve the objectives of the post. Strong communication, IT, numeracy, management and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be working closely with various stakeholdersThe post holder will be responsible for the HR ESR and Erostering service areas, but will also need to have the ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with other departments in order to develop and support a strategic approach to the production and use of workforce information at operational and to Board level.Responsibilities and duties of the role:•To be the Trust HR Workforce Systems and Information specialist lead using skills and experience to take a long term strategic view of the requirements of the organisation and how these can be met and lead implementation.•To work collaboratively with other corporate areas and operational service leads including finance and IT to ensure that HR workforce systems achieve their potential and function smoothly to enable effective workforce deployment and efficiency, utilising a high level of technical knowledge to achieve this.•To ensure that all HR workforce system functionality is maximised to produce data and reporting at committee and Board level, using the ability to interpret system data and functionality to achieve effective performance reporting in areas of responsibility for the trust•To maximise the opportunities for use of HR workforce systems and systems data in governance and business planning, using specialist skills to work with colleagues in operational and corporate areas to support development of effective performance management indicators and reporting.Essential/Desirable Requirements of the Post Holder:You will have highly developed specialist knowledge of e-Rostering, ESR and Bank Staff strategic resourcing systems /Business Intelligence management systems and workforce reporting requirements internally and externally. You will be conversant with IT language and operations and have the ability to work in a highly pressurised environment, to tight deadlines.Influencing, negotiating and communication skills will be required with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation.The role requires the successful candidate to understand how system functionality impacts on service delivery and governance and use this knowledge to plan strategically and respond to requirements form external bodies such as NHSI.It’s expected that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to plan and deliver change as a lead and as part of a team.
