Job ID: 148652Role: HR ManagerSalary: £40-47kJob Type: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: SheffieldPurpose of the role: We are currently working with a Training Provider to recruit a HR Manager in their Sheffield Office.You will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisations talent strategy, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will be responsible for all aspects of human resources management,including recruitment, employee development, performance management, and employee relations, with a strong emphasis on compliance. You will assist in the development and execution of strategies to ensure that the companies mission, vision and values are embeddedin the organisations BEST culture.Key Responsibilities:Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Oversee the recruitment strategy and functions including talent acquisition.
  • Maintain effective onboarding programs to ensure new hires integrate seamlessly into the organisation, while remaining compliant with SCR rules.
Employee Development:
  • Identify training and development needs within the organisation.
  • Create and implement employee development plans and initiatives.
  • Develop and promote training for managers to improve management skills and support progression pathways.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • To lead, support and develop members of the HR Team.
Performance Management:
  • Oversee the performance management process, providing guidance to managers and employees.
  • Develop and manage an effective performance management strategy with supporting policies and procedures.
Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Talent Retention:
  • Develop strategies to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
  • Implement retention programs and initiatives.
  • Overall responsibility for the staff appraisal processes.
Policy Development and Compliance:
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Maintain and communicate organisational policies.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring all HR policies and procedures are within Ofsted framework, including safer recruitment.
  • Leadership in the development and implementation of Trainings HR Strategy as a key enabler of the company’s strategic plan.

  • Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives and surveys and follow up with actions.

  • Manage and drive our people social value commitments, aligned to contractual KPI’s.
  • Drive our internal and external brand engagement.
Compliance Focus:
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring the organisations HR practices remain compliant.
  • Conduct compliance audits and assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Skills & Experience Required
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in a HR management role. Education sector experience would be desirable especially experience of working within an Ofsted Required framework.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Experience managing a team of HR professionals desirable.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement HR programs that drive organizational goals while maintaining compliance.
  • Experience of creating and implementing HR strategy.
  • Strong data analysis skills to interpret HR metrics and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of safer and effective recruitment and be able to assist in matching us with talent appropriate to our objectives, culture, and contracts.
  • Practical experience of current employment legislation and best practice.
  • Experience of working in a dynamic and changing workplace environment.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, diplomacy and resilience when required.
  • Demonstrates respect for diverse range of people.
  • Full driving licence, their own vehicle and business insurance as travelling will be required.
Qualifications Required
  • Minimum of L5 Certificate in Human Resources Practice.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English or equivalent.
