Job Description

THE COMPANY: Brewster Partners are delighted to be supporting a beloved charity based in Sheffield to recruit a Head of Fundraising.THE JOB: Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Fundraising for, with excellent communication skills and a successful track record of exceeding targets across a range of income streams. Reporting into the CEO, you will have a Fundraising Manager, and Fundraisingofficer reporting into you. You will look to build positive relationships with key stakeholders, as well as:

  • Manage the operational activities of the fundraising team
  • Play a key part in the fundraising operations
  • Being responsible for all aspects of the charity Fundraising Strategy
  • Provide reports to the CEO and Board of Trustees
  • Form recommendations to the board in how the charity strategically plans and prioritises fundraising activities and campaigns
THE PERSON: This role is open to someone making a step up to Head of Fundraising, providing you have an excellent understanding of a range of income streams, such as regional fundraising, community fundraising, corporate and events fundraising, as well as lottery, legacies,trusts and individual giving.The ideal candidate will have:
  • Demonstrable experience of working successfully at a senior level in fundraising with evidence of success in raising significant levels of funds across a range of income streams
  • Experience of leading successful, high performing teams
  • Experience of managing an income and expenditure budget
  • Ability to identify and deliver opportunities for growth
  • Ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders
  • Understanding of contemporary fundraising techniques and a genuine desire to innovate and inspire new ones
  • Knowledge of relevant law including charity, information governance, health and safety and gift aid
