Job Description

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working in partnership on a retained basis with Renew Holdings PLC in sourcing for a Qualified Group Accounting Manager.Renew Holdings PLC specialise in delivering innovative solutions through the development of bespoke solutions which provide both cost and time efficiencies across the UK infrastructure market. They possess a track record of organic growth and M&A in high-margin,high-growth end markets, twinned with strong cash generation and shareholder returns.The UK infrastructure market is robust and sustainable with continued growth in forecast spending, backed by strong Government support and committed investment of c£650bn in all key long-term programmes, ensuring the business commit to growing organically andthrough selective acquisitions.Renew Holdings PLC give autonomy to their divisional subsidiaries across a diversified range of markets, enabling them to be competitive and effective in the UKs critical networks, whilst supporting the day-to-day operation of these essential infrastructureassets.The organisation continually supports the subsidiary businesses in retaining their own strong identities and alongside efficient supply chain work together in delivering a safe and responsive service supporting the day-to-day demands of the UKs critical infrastructurenetworks.The group finance function has run efficiently and lean over previous years, but as further growth is forecast an outstanding opportunity has been created, and the business is looking to add an exceptional individual who can develop and progress as the businesscontinues to grow with excellent mentoring and support as well a market leading package including a strong base salary and bonus scheme.This opportunity would suit a Qualified 1st / 2nd time mover from practice who possesses a strong technical skillset alongside being confident and clear when discussing financial information with a variety of stakeholders.The position will develop in stages; focusing initially on responsibility of reporting on a subsidiary and will then expand to cover involvement in other Group roles as set out below.Duties include both Group and Subsidiary responsibilities:* Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports* Review drafts of subsidiary statutory accounts (FRS 2 UK GAAP)* Review Group consolidated statutory accounts (IFRS)* Liaising with and advising subsidiary accounts dept (c. 10 staff) on day-to-day matters* Liaising with subsidiary management team on all financial matters which will include meetings on a monthly/quarterly basis* Preparation/review of daily and weekly cash models* Annual budget preparation* Year end pack and statutory accounts* Preparation of VAT returnsPerson spec:Within this role you must be able to summarise and present complex information clearly, confidently, and concisely, and will have an excellent eye for detail.
