You will support in mentoring and developing the finance team and this role will certainly have scope to develop intoa management position, and ultimately, progress into higher levels of seniority.It will be a varied role with duties to include:• Ensure the accuracy of the GL and compliance to the relevant reporting standards• Maintain accounting best practices while performing duties• Ensure period end reporting cycles are completed in a timely and accurate manner• Produce succinct and relevant analysis, reports, and presentations, suitable for senior management• Provide leadership & strong management to the accounting team• Recommend and introduce new financial policies, processes, and controls as and when required• Identify risks within Finance as soon as identified• Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders• Perform special projects at the request of the business as and when is requiredTo be considered for this role you MUST have the following:• ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified (Also Exam Qualified)• Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role/ experience from mid sized to large practice• Have a strong understanding of revenue recognition considerations and methodology for project / contracts businesses• Have an up-to-date working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS (Desirable)• Have excellent analytical skills with the ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts• Be an advanced Excel user• Good IT skills (Experience of Navision would be highly advantageous)• People management experience• Be self-motivated, organised, ambitious, and focused on achieving deadlines and targets.If you meet the criteria for this role, and are interested in being put forward please do not hesitate to apply or contact me to discuss.Elevation Accountancy & Finance focuses on the recruitment of talented Accountancy and Finance professionals across all levels, from entry level trainees through to post qualified accountants.
