Job Description

The Role The UKs number one SU has an incredible opportunity for an Event Manager to lead one of the most exciting Entertainments and Events teams in the UK. If you want to put your mark on a legendary music venue, this is the job for you.The role focuses on delivering a busy and varied events programme, from 1,800 capacity club nights and gigs to student-led events attracting in excess of 250,000 visitors per year.You will create, develop and oversee all events at the Foundry nightclub and live music venue; working with the Entertainments team, promoters and booking agents. The Foundry is arguably the most diverse nightclub in Sheffield with a normal week hostingseveral club nights and gigs. Recent and upcoming shows include, Sam Fender, Yungblud, Annie Mac, Inhaler, Easy Life, Wilkinson, Dodie, The United Kingdolls, Shy FX, Mall Grab, Henning Wehn and many more. Foundry also hosts some of the citys biggest studentnights, Pop Tarts, Roar, The Tuesday Club, Soul Jam and Applebum.You will also manage a team whose primary focus is supporting student-led events. These are varied and can include conferences, food festivals, therapy ponies, film screenings, fairs, awards ceremonies and virtually any other event you can imagine.
