Job Description

OverviewSaccoMann have been instructed on an excellent opportunity for a Court of Protection paralegal to join a reputable law firm based in their Sheffield offices. This role would suit a Paralegal already with Court of Protection experience or a paralegal lookingfor a retrain from a strong Personal Injury background (RTA, EL, PL, Serious Injuries) provided you have solid case handling experience and strong client care skills.The clientOur client is a well-respected law firm with offices in both central Sheffield and Leeds. Although they are a solid local Yorkshire law firm, they have built an excellent national reputation through their charitable work and recent period of positive changesincluding brand new offices and excellent training programmes to build the careers of each individual.Benefits

The role
  • Managing your own caseload made up of Trusts and Court of Protection or Deputyship matters
  • This will include liaising regularly with your clients and providing accurate and jargon-free advice to achieve results in the clients best interests
  • You will be a main manager of client assets, their income and the expenditure which will include property, investments and cash
  • Maintaining and building solid client relationships with clients and their families and asking support from more senior members of your team
  • Discussing investment incentives with clients, Trustees, Deputies and other third party professionals
The ideal candidate
  • You will be an experienced Paralegal with experience from a Court of Protection background with experience in managing your own caseload
  • However, the firm are actively encouraging candidates from a Personal Injury background
  • As you will be communicating with vulnerable clients and their families, you will be an excellent communicator with the ability to advise them using customer-friendly jargon in an empathetic manner
