Job Description

Sheffield based, with hybrid working, this is a new Commercial Finance Analyst / Business Partner job opportunity to work for a fast-growing business in Sheffield. With a turnover of c£150 million, the business operates within manufacturing, logistics, warehousingand commercial fit outs.This role reports into the Head of Finance and has a broad range of responsibilities. Initially a key part of the role will be to support the manufacturing function - as this is an area where they will benefit from greater analysis of KPIs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide insightful analysis on the profitability of the manufacturing business, focusing on productivity KPIs, product and project profitability
  • Design and monitor system compliance reporting for enhanced control
  • Ensure a seamless monthly Cost to Valuation Reconciliation (CVR) process
  • Lead the monthly CVR process, reconciling sales & margin reports to trial balance
  • Offer trend analysis and insight into job performance versus expectations
  • Maintain a forecast sales & margin model for strategic planning
  • Report on the customer invoicing cycle weekly, highlighting any shortfalls
  • Forecast early trades availability to contribute to the weekly cash flow
  • Prepare a month-end stock report and Trial Balance Reconciliation
  • Calculate Stock Transfer for CVR month-end processing
  • Ensure stock valuation compliance with FRS102, including the calculation of required stock provisions
  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial Director, Surveyors, Cost Managers, Commercial Team, Sales Ledger Manager, and Head of Procurement
Skills Required:
  • Fully qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) with 3 years+ post-qualification experience
  • Proficient in IT, especially ERP systems and OMS Excel
  • Ability to engage with colleagues at all levels, from the Board to operational staff
  • Knowledge of construction, manufacturing, and logistics businesses is advantageous
  • Familiarity with PowerBI and SQL report writing
  • Experience with COINS ERP and 123 Insight is a plus
