Job Description

Job Title: CNC Programmer / Setter OperatorLocation: ChesterfieldSalary: £33,000- £40,000Job type: Full TimePower Systems Services- Providing solutions for Industry since 1994.From heavy industry to infrastructure projects, power generation to construction, Power System Services can provide the complete solution for design, fabrication and site services to suit your needs.The role: We are urgently looking for an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter operator (Turning and Milling) to join our new CNC machining section of our business based in Chesterfield. If you are immediately available and looking for a new role as a CNC Programmer (Turning and milling) - this is a great chance to join a growing company.An Excellent Opportunity to join a small tight knit team in an exciting and technically diverse role, where you will be responsible in the programming of brand-new machines including Mills and lathes. (Doosan MYNX 9500 and Doosan LYNX 2100ly)The Candidate:

  • Tight tolerance experience
  • Able to understand the manufacturing process
  • Strong knowledge of Machining various metals
  • Apprenticeship background and/or fully trained as a CNC programmer with a strong background in engineering
  • At least 5-10 years CNC Offline and online Programming experience is essential
  • Strong experience setting and operating machines
  • Competently set and operate milling and turning machines with Fanuc online control
  • Strong computer skills
  • Competent in self inspection using necessary equipment
  • Ability to independently interpret and work to engineering drawings and 3D models
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Datum system
  • Ability to work, as a team player
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Set and programme bar fed/multi-axis CNC machines
  • Programme using solid works Fusion 360 and inventor
  • experience of both online and offline programming
  • Work with drawings and specifications
  • Communicate effectively and aid, when necessary, the setting up process
  • Prove out new jobs
