JA1174 - Commercial Catering Equipment EngineerLocationSheffield (North/Midlands)Salary£40KJob Type - Full-time, Permanent 36.5 hoursOverview:We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Catering Equipment Engineer to join our clients business. The majority of the work will be in a prison environment so CTC clearance will be required if not already held.Prison work is unusual and the successful candidate will have to work in an environment without help from outside while on site and under conditions that can be sometimes challenging. A strong character is important while keeping calm and composed is uppermost. Key Responsibilities:

• Reactive maintenance and PPM of all commercial catering equipment.
• Fault finding on both electrical and gas commercial catering equipment.
• Carrying out all repairs and servicing to the highest standard.
• Required to install, commission, maintain and repair commercial catering equipment, such as combination ovens, fryers, grills and griddles, cooking ranges, dishwashers, microwave ovens etc.
• Responsible for installing (unpacking) and in some cases assembling equipment, servicing and maintenance of commercial catering equipment on behalf of our client HM Prison Service.
• Test and undertake quality assurance checks to verify that the commercial catering equipment in accordance with the design specification and diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve faults and organise repairs as required.
• Diagnosing troubleshooting and resolving faults, and organising repairs as required.
• Where required raising, submitting quotes for parts to be ordered, responsible of ensuring all part numbers align with technical manuals/product and confirming receipt of parts.
• Responsible for returning parts within warranty to supplier, other parts which have not been utilised must be returned to stores on conclusion of visit.
• Other responsibilities may include periodic checks including Gas, electricity safety checks.
• Responsible for completing manual and electronic job sheets upon conclusion of site visit.
• Regular communication to be maintained with service coordinators.
• Responsible for maintaining and checking van stock.

Skills and Experience:Essential

• Comcat 1,3,5
• 3-5 years commercial engineering experience in catering equipment, industrial catering equipment or similar
• Qualified and registered engineer with Gas Safe
• Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
• Ability to work flexible and unsociable hours, travel to sites and occasional stay overs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to fault find and solve complex problems.
• IT literate (MS Office)
• Exhibits the ability to think creatively and analytically.
• Strong organisation skills, ability to prioritise and multi- task effectively.

Desirable:

• Comcat 2
• Electrical Qualification (18th, 17th edition, HNC, NVQ, City and Guilds)
• FGAS Qualification
