Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturing company based in Sheffield to recruit a CAD Engineer to join their team.Working as part of the Engineering team, the CAD Engineer will design and develop new and existing products.Duties and responsibilities of the CAD Engineer include:

  • Creation of Standard and Complex Solid models
  • CAD File storage and management
  • Revision control on drawings, CAD files & ERP system
  • Drawing & Route card BOM creation
  • Ensuring supporting spreadsheets are up to date with the latest data/information
  • Measuring time spent on each project to assist resource management & closed-loop
  • Ensure software & hardware are maintained and kept up to date
  • Ensure training needs are identified and raised with the Engineering Manager
  • Maintain AS9100 compliance on Drawings, CAD files and supporting documents
  • Create & Maintain standardised drawing templates
  • Operate 3D Printer & maintain consumables stock level
  • Operate Tensile & compression testing equipment
  • Support NPI & Manufacturing Engineers
We would like to speak with CAD Engineers with the following skills/experience:
  • Degree qualified in Engineering
  • Experience using Solidworks software
