Job Description

A fantastic opportunity for a career driven Buyer to join a successful, rapidly growing manufacturer based in Sheffield. My client currently operates at a turnover in excess of £50m and there has never been a better time to join the team. My client is looking for a highly analytical, number orientated individual who has the ability to work with relevant departments to help manage inventory requirements with the use of ERP/MRP systems. The successful candidate will be expected to work with seniorprocurement professionals in raising PO’s, expediting purchased materials and contributing to the wider procurement performance.Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Place PO’s and manage and maintain required stock levels
  • Liaise with suppliers and expedite procured materials to aid production whilst tracking KPI’s to analyse and improve supplier performance
  • Work closely with various internal stakeholders to handle any quantity or quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate data on internal business systems
Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:
  • Experience in a procurement position within a manufacturing business
  • Previous experience with MRP/ERP systems and proficient in MS Office programmes
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to develop within the business
