BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / REMOTE / £50,000 PER ANNUM + UNCAPPED COMMISSION + CARAre you an experienced Business Development Manager tired of chasing ever increasing bonus targets Are you comfortable closing deals for capital equipment in the region of £200,000 and above If so, then this is the ideal role for you!Our client has grown to be the European market leader in their field of industrial vacuum technology and materials handling.They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to sell their contractor range of hi-end Vacuum Trucks and Trailers. The ideal candidates will have a background selling heavy duty trucks or heavy plant equipment, the recycling industry,material handling or any other industry dealing in heavy duty capital equipment.The client base is varied from entrepreneurs to blue chip nationals. With lead times being on average nine months, they are offering a high salary to the right candidate to encourage them to build long lasting relationships without the worry of hitting bonusto make their salary up.Based remotely, the position is national, though most clients are based in the north of England, so being located around one hour from greater Manchester would be beneficial. Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
  • Identify new business opportunities, prospect non-user accounts, and follow up on sales leads.
  • Liaise with existing customers and develop new relationships.
  • Account manage and rapport build with existing customers whilst developing new relationships.
  • Visit customers to demonstrate and present products face to face.
  • Identify commercial markets and product opportunities.
  • Participate in sales meetings and share product / market knowledge.
  • Plan and prioritise a territory to arrange meetings with a wide range of customers.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Have a valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience within sales of large capital equipment would be ideal.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and good IT literacy
  • A high level of self-motivation, and determination to achieve goals and targets.
  • Good organisational, administrative and time management skills.
  • Be inquisitive to identify customers needs and the ability to offer informed solutions.
  • Capable of building long term relationships built on service excellence.
