Test Automation EngineerSheffield/Remote£47.5KAn Automation Test Engineer is required for our large telecoms client at their site in Sheffield. The purpose of the role will be developing and maintaining the automated framework and scripts to support the verification and validation of software componentson the client platforms. You will refine requirements, design automated scripts, maintain framework, develop quality code, test and deploy. You will also assist the internal software release cycle. You continually seek to drive improvements in all aspectsof your role and contribute to policies, standards and processes.Responsibilities Contribute to design, delivery of Automation scripts independently along with contributing to the maintenance of scripts and framework for Automation Investigate and resolve routine problems Contribute to planning, including sizing, prioritisation and capacity plans Follow and pro-actively inspect processes and standards and provide recommendations for improvement Continuously improve quality of products Share knowledge through documentation and presentations Ensure all work complies with legal, regulatory and policy constraints Be proactive with reporting of any possible issues or delays and support problem investigation of nightly build failures Maintain and improve Quality Assurance documentationExperience required- Knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies Automation experience using Selenium, TestNG, Rest Assured Proficient using object oriented programming languages preferably Java In depth knowledge of Atlassian Suite tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket) or similar toolset Experience in being part of a team ensuring testing strategy, unit, acceptance and integration tests are produced with high coverage Experience in researching new tools, techniques and processes and introducing these to the team and the departmentBenefits 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) 10% on target bonus Pension scheme Shares Plan
