Job Description

This firm have an excellent culture with long standing relationships across South Yorkshire, and they are now looking to add an ambitious individual who is keen to progress their career with the firm.Client DetailsMichael Page are currently working with a long established firm of accountants who are looking to recruit an ACA / ACCA qualified Accounts & Audit Senior to the team in their Sheffield office.DescriptionPreparation of year end accounts under UK GAAP, from computerised and manual records. To cover limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole trader businesses.Performance of statutory audits. Responsible for all stages of the statutory audit from planning to completion, to include site visit and audit testing.Providing other assurance services. - The opportunity to be involved with Grant claim audits for the public sector and solicitor accounts/reporting.Preparation of management accounts - The role will include a significant element of general practice services and client care.Liaising with Clients & Colleagues- The candidate will need good communication skills, being able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.Dealing directly with the client and ensuring they get the service that they require. This will include the need to make telephone calls and generate and send emails and written correspondence.Maintaining professional standards and ethics and acting in the best interests of the firm at all times. Promotion of a professional image of the firm and positive attitude regarding it in dealings with clients, 3rd parties and other staff members.Providing help and assistance to other staff members to include an element of staff training.Attendance at office meetings as required.Profile* ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience* Minimum 4 years experience working in an accountancy practice* Knowledge of varying accounts packages* Excellent communication skills* Able to work to tight deadlinesJob Offer* 35,000 - 42,000 starting salary* 25 + 8 days annual leave* On-site parking
