Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within this Fire & Rescue Services ICT section for an Application Business Partner, based at Headquarters in Sheffield.Application Business PartnerContract: PermanentSalary: Grade 7 (£32,020 - £34,723)Hours: Full Time - 37 Hours per week (Flexi Time)Work Pattern: Monday - FridayLocation: ICT Department, Headquarters and agile workingThe overall purpose of the role will be to work with all departments and ICT suppliers in the organisation in order to maximise the benefits of the software provided. Co-ordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in orderto deliver projects to enable efficient use of public funds. Work with departments to understand their needs and to effectively implement changes and upgrades.To be considered for this role you will have previous experience of:

  • Experience in working with system suppliers and making change happen
  • Experience in managing and supporting network environments
  • Experience in delivery of ICT systems and solutions
You must possess degree level education or equivalent in an ICT related subject and a current Driving Licence with the ability to travel.The key duties will include:
  • Liaising directly with software manufacturers, seek out new developments and make sure the Service are using their products effectively.
  • Be very aware of security standards and legal requirements of the Service to enable positive change.
  • Work with the Servicedesk Team to understand how and when changes are occurring and what impact that may have on users.
