Job Description

Summary:Role: Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Prescribing Nurse, Pharmacist or Paramedic)Setting: General PracticeLocation: Sheffield - onsiteSalary: £55,000 - £60,000 FTEHours: 20 to 40 hours per week (5-10 sessions)Main duties of the job

However, we can only build the best primary care service there is if staff are happy, empowered and supportedwithin an excellent working environment.If you believe that there are ways to drastically improve the way primary care is delivered for both patients and staff alike and you want to be a part of this; then we would love to hear from you and tell you more about our plans.More information about the roleYou will be joining one of our small practices in Sheffield to work alongside our clinical and admin team to provide direct and indirect patient care to our registered patients. You will play a large role in working with the team to help them enact new initiativesand roll out innovation across the practice. There will be opportunities to further progress your career depending on the needs of the organisation and your own interests.You will always have the support of a senior GP to help you practice safely and further develop your clinical skills, competencies and scope of practice whilst practicing efficiently and safely. You will be trusted to work within your own clinical competency,but to always seek support when you require to do so.You will be consulting with patients through a mixture of face to face, online and telephone consultations and recording clear notes. With training, we would also expect you to work towards and take on more roles such as care coordination, prescription management,document management and pathology reviews depending on your competency level and experience.Who are we looking for (Qualifications, Attributes and Experience)Essential
  • A non-medical independent prescriber (qualified nurse, pharmacist or paramedic)
  • MSc Advanced Clinical Practice
  • Experience in minor acute condition management and prescribing
  • Can work independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals within limit of clinical competency
  • Want to improve and increase scope of practice in a supportive and safe environment
  • Minimum of 2 years experience post-registration experience in primary/community/acute care
  • Other (DBS, evidence of CPD)
Desirable
  • UK Driving License
  • Experience in chronic disease management and prescribing
  • Previous direct GP practice experience
