Job Title: Accounts Payable AssistantLocation: Napier Street - S11 8HDWould you like to be a part of a team that works well together, always there to help each other If you answered yes, Sheffield Childrens NHS Hospital Foundation Trust is for you.About the TrustSheffield Childrens NHS Foundation Trust is one of only three dedicated childrens hospital trusts in the UK and provides integrated healthcare for children and young people, including community and mental health care as well as acute and specialist services.We provide a full range of services for residents of Sheffield and South Yorkshire as well as specialised services for patients from across the United Kingdom.What you will be responsible for:· Become an integral part of an experienced and dedicated Purchase Ledger team· Maintain accurate and up to date creditor details and account records on the Purchase Ledger system· Registering creditor invoices / credit notes on the Purchase Ledger system, ensuring all fields are completed accurately. A high level of concentration, accuracy and speed of registering is expected due to the volume of invoices registered.· Complete the necessary paperwork and supporting documentation for the creation of new creditors/amendments to existing creditors, informing interested parties. Ensure that amendments are validated to counter potential fraudulent claims against the Trust.· Writing manual cheques whereby cheque payment is required. This must be completed and authorised in line with the Trusts Standing Financial Instructions.You will learn the following whilst working at the trust:1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times3.
