Academy Director (Employability)£45,078 - £52,258 (37 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year)As Academy Director for Employability with a Sheffield based College, you will be responsible for the performance and development of a provision that unlocks opportunities year-upon-year for thousands of people who call Sheffield home.Were looking for somebody passionate about adult learning whos ready to truly embrace the role. As well as your internal work youll also be working with colleges and other external organisations to forge partnerships on both a regional & national level.Based at our state-of-the-art Pennine Five Adult-learning Hub, you will be responsible for steering the direction of our dynamic curriculum while effectively managing a large budget.ESOL is also a huge part of what we do and the rewarding work we do through liaising with Refugee and Council agencies is reflected in the core ethos and atmosphere within the team. • Being responsible for the effective oversight of the provision, working closely with the curriculum manager to further develop growing areas of the department such as Short Courses, Sector-based work academies and Blended Learning approaches
• Working to tackle the challenges faced by a sizable cohort of ESOL learners
• Effectively managing a seven-figure budget from day one
• Developing business partnerships and building strong relationships with external organisations to grow the provision

• Become recognised on both a regional and national level as a leading figure in the employability space
• Worked to create innovative programmes to drive the provision forward
