Job Description

Job Title: Senior Finance AnalystLocation: Crewe (hybrid working from home)Basic salary: £48,000 + bonus + good benefits packageType: PermanentA large global company with a UK office based in Crewe is recruiting a Senior Finance Analyst on a permanent basis. The main function of the role is to provide support and finance expertise surrounding all aspects of supply chain and operations finance.The role is ideally suited to someone who has excellent analytical skills combined with strong stakeholder communication skills.Attributes required:

Strong knowledge of MS packages, especially Excel - Essential
Ability to work in a high pressured and fast paced environment - Essential
Previous experience working in either a manufacturing or distribution business - Ideal
Previous experience as a Finance Analyst or Cost Accountant - Ideal
Costing experience (ideally standard costing) - Ideal

Daily duties:

Responsibility for financial planning and budgeting of operations costs
Publishing periodic financial reports, including operational performance metrics, and overhead cost management
Performing analytical reviews of financial information to identify trends and opportunities
Recommending improvements to drive cost efficiencies in balance with operational needs and capabilities
Preparing cost benefit models for new capex projects, tracking and analysing spend & ROI performance vs. plan
Assisting with month-end close including preparing journal entries
Actively participating in design and implementation of advance costing and standard costing systems
