Job Description

Trainee Pensions Administrator - Edinburgh - £20,000 - 21,000 p/a DOEAre you looking to move into the world of pensions Do you want to work with a great business who are growing Do you have great customer service skills and enjoy working as part of a teamWe are looking to speak to experienced customer service advisors or administrators who are looking to move into the world of pensions. You will join a growing business and supportive team who will teach you all the expertise you need to complete your pensionsqualifications within the first 3 years!Ideally, you will have a great work ethic, strong service and communication skillsand want to develop your career and gain qualifications within this excellent business which would allow you to progress!This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday - Friday (36hrs per week). There will be a hybrid working model in place. As well as this there are excellent benefits available which will be discussed further.Are you who we are looking for

  • You have strong communication skills both written and orally
  • You have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • You have excellent work ethic and a can-do attitude
  • You enjoy working as part of a wider team environment
  • You are motivated, driven and want to work towards your Pensions Qualifications
  • You have excellent customer service skills
  • You have general administration experience
  • You have a higher maths qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
What is the day to day like
  • Learning how to calculate members pension benefits in accordance with internal policies and procedures
  • Providing accurate information to members via telephone, email and virtual meetings daily
  • Ensuring each member receives excellent service at all times
  • Maintaining accurate records on the internal and external systems
  • Building and developing your knowledge and understanding of the schemes legislation
  • Leading and participating in various internal projects
  • Building and developing strong internal and external relationships daily
  • Demonstrating progress throughout the work based training programme (more details can be provided)
