Job Description

Legal Secretary - Private Client - Edinburgh - Salary up to £29,000 p/a DOEAre you an experienced legal secretary looking for a new role Do you want to join an established team within a well known firm in EdinburghWe are looking to speak to experienced legal secretaries who are looking for a new position within an established Edinburgh firm. You will join a small, tight-knit team, providing administrative support to partners and fee earners daily. This is a greatchance to join an established firm who specialise in the legal, financial and administrative needs of their vast client base.This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday - Friday 9-5pm. This role will be office based.Are you who we are looking for

  • You have legal secretarial experience, private client experience preferred but not essential
  • You are highly motivated and committed to delivering excellent service
  • You have strong interpersonal skills
  • You have excellent organisational and diary management skills
  • You have a fast and accurate typing speed, previous experience utilising WinScribe is desirable
  • You have a strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • You are a problem solver
  • You are able to work well individually and as part of a wider team environment
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages
What is the day to day like
  • Providing high quality secretarial support and excellent client care
  • Completing both copy and audio typing of a high level of correspondence
  • Producing and formatting a range of legal documents to a high standard daily including trusts, summaries, wills, power of attorney and general correspondence
  • Acknowledging emails on behalf of partners and fee earners
  • Assisting with administrative and compliance tasks
  • Communicating effectively with fee earners to keep them appraised of work status and ensuring client meets are prepared
  • Assisting with legal research
  • Maintaining accurate documents and records using an internal document management system
  • Organising meetings and managing diaries daily
  • Completing general office tasks including photocopying and scanning
  • Actively participating in project work throughout the firm
