Job Description

In preparation for the schools re-opening in September, Principal Resourcing are actively working to recruit a HLTA’s to start a long-term position for one our partnership schools/academies in Wakefield .We are looking for inspirational and driven HLTA to work in one of our local and supportive primary schools in Wakefield to start September and to work across EYFS / KS1. The successful candidate will be able to deliver learning activities to whole classes of pupils when the class teacher is not present This will include planning, preparing and delivery of lessons as well as assessing, recording and reporting on the development of the pupils in their care. They must also be comfortable in working independently and be able to manage teaching assistants when necessary. You will ideally have EYFS / KS1 curriculum knowledge and experience.This role could suit a newly qualified teacher who is looking to gain extra experience within the classroom.Within the role you are required to:

  • Teach groups of children in the teacher’s absence
  • Ensure children are engaging in their learning
  • Have the highest expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • Support the teacher with planning and assessment and preparing of resources
    • Skills and attributes:
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English at Grade C and above
  • Have an appropriate NVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues, children, and parents.
  • Confident and positive approach to working with children.
  • Have a passion for education
  • A current DBS registered with the update Service or a DBS done through Principal Resourcing
