Job Description

Job Title:Plant OperatorLocation:WolverhamptonRate of pay:£11.00 to £13.00 per hour depending on experienceJob Type: PermanentOur client is a rapidly growing multi-site waste management and site regeneration company that are looking for an enthusiastic, can do, trustworthy and reliable individual to join their expanding team.This will be full time work, approximately 47.5 hours per week 6.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday.Role OverviewTo provide safe and efficient plant landfill operations. Manage the incoming materials into the respective site including internal roads, turning circle and tipping areas.Duties Include:

  • Plant Operation : ADT, Excavator, Bulldozer
  • Ground works - Drainage installation, Sump / Drain Cleaning etc
  • Site Maintenance and upkeep, Inc, Fencing, Vegetation clearance and maintenance, Environmental improvements.
  • Weighbridge Operation
    • Key Responsibilities include:
  • To maximise the efficient use of the plant and equipment and to conduct all necessary daily, weekly, monthly plant and equipment checks including fuelling and lubrication.
  • The handling, production and placement of incoming waste into the landfill and remaining vigilant for any illegal wastes in loads which cannot be accepted.
  • Installation of working roads into the tipping area and maintain these through the winter period.
  • Maintaining a tipping area throughout the winter period. This will include the periodic cleaning of loose/wet mud and installation of additional hardcore
    • The role will be working on a Quarry site.Anyone applying should be comfortable with heavy lifting, working outdoors and have previous experience in a similar role working to engineering specifications.This is a permanent position working for a highly reputable company in a happy and safe environment.
