Night Shift ** As an Duty Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of a fast paced and extremely crucial transport and logistics operation based in Ashford. The is a vital role to ensure the success of this project, so we are only looking for dedicated individuals who can use their skills and experience to really add some value. As an Operations Manager you will have experience of leading and driving within a transport or logistics operation. You will be a real leader who is influential, knowledgeable and who leads by example. This is a very hands on role and we are looking for people who are happy to roll their sleeves up and get involved. This is initially an 8 week role starting on 21st December and unfortunately we are unable to accommodate anyone who is not available immediately. This is a 24/7 operation and you will be on a 4 on 4 off 6pm-6am shift pattern but we will need flexibility from you to cover additional shifts if the operation requires it. As the ideal candidate you will have operations experience within transport and logistics, ideally have a CPC (although this isnt a necessity), have team management experience and be able to get the best out of all of your management team. You will also have experience of working to strict budgets and have knowledge of open and closed book operations. You will be responsible for; * Continuous Improvement* Working with your management team and key stakeholders within the business to ensure you have a smooth running operation that fits the needs of the customer at all times. * Working to financial and budgetary KPIs * Data Security * Ensure that the operation is manned at all time and that sickness and annual leave is covered to ensure no disruption to the operation * Promote all covid-19 measurements. We are looking to have a team in place on 21st December and the operation will run all over Christmas - except Christmas day, so you will also need to be available over this whole period.
