Structural Engineer or Building Surveyor (Conservation) SevenoaksOur client are a well established civil and structural engineering consultancy who are based in Kent working nationally and internationally on award-winning work ranging from small-scale refurbishment and extension to large-scale new build in all areas fromresidential, education, healthcare and arts to commercial and infrastructure. Specialism’s include buildings, heritage engineering, infrastructure engineering, pre-planning advice and temporary worksCharteredA desire to work on the survey, assessment and adaptation of historic buildings and structures.A civil or structural engineering or building surveying degree background.Atleast 5 years post graduate experience working on projects involving the repair or refurbishment of existing structures. Good written and spoken use of English; experience of writing reports.Good communication skils; able to convey concepts and questions at meetings, by telephone and in written and sketch format.Experience of design in masonry and timber, experience of design in steel and concrete would be advantageous.Knowledge of traditional types of building contstructiona nd methods.
