Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project/Contracts Manager with experience in a production environment and electro-mechanical assembly to join a global manufacturing business of combustion management and control systems for industrial burner applications.Along with a salary of up to £55,000 per annum, you will also receive a company car, private healthcare, 23 days holiday, 5 family days for emergencies/problems with childcare/plumbers etc plus a death in service benefit.As a business, they provide solutions to everything from the Tower of London to Vegas Casino Hotels! They are well known in their industry forquality, excellence, and innovation, and whilst they are a global business, they are still very much a family firm and are celebrating their 50thyear this year.As a Project/Contracts Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibility for the supervision and co-ordination of customers projects / site installation, from quotation to handover.
  • RAMS to ensure all works are carried out to customers site requirements and in line with H&S legislation and best practice.
  • Communicate effectively with teams across different departments and collaborate with the client and sub-contractors.
  • Manage labour resources for installation and commissioning including all sub-contract labour and specialist trades.
  • Specify and source parts and raise purchase requisitions to the Purchasing Department.
  • Provide on-going project planning/status and liaising with customers on a regular basis to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Working with the Sales Engineering Teams to provide technical support and detailed site visit reports to clients.
  • Supporting the fabrication and engineering departments with Mechanical and Electrical CAD drawings to provide manufacturing and relevant handover documents.
  • Cost-Control / P&L responsibility reporting to the Service Manager, Financial Director, and the Board.
We are looking for aProject/Contracts Managerwho has the following skills and experiences:
  • Excellent man-management and contract management experience.
  • Engineering background; electrical or mechanical.
  • Excellent attention to detail, well organised with excellent planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate across all levels.
  • Fully IT literate MS Office, Mech & Elect AutoCAD experience.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Based at the Biggin Hill head office must be able to travel throughout the UK
