We are looking for Delivery Drivers and Mail Carriers to deliver letters and parcels for Royal Mail in Sevenoaks. You will be required to work 5 out of 7 days and this will include a Saturday.Contract: TemporaryDelivery Driver shift times are 12:30-19:30Mail Carrier shift times are 08:30-15:30Both positions are at the Sevenoaks Delivery Office.Royal Mail is one of the UKs best-loved brands. They are 150,000 strong with 500 years of history and are hugely proud of the service theyprovide.The Role:Youll start your day for an hour or so in the local delivery office, sorting the mail and parcels for your route, before taking out your van (trolley for walkers) to complete your round. Youll each be given a hand-held computer device to capture customersignatures for deliveries. You will mainly be delivering parcels so this will require manual handling. The hand-held computer will also act as your routing system putting your round in the most economical route, telling you which house to go to next.About You:Upbeat and self-motivated, youll be as happy working alone as you will be working as part of a team and getting to know the different people on your round. Youll have a strong sense of community and the idea of doing a job that involves flexible working patternswill appeal to you.We deliver parcels come rain or shine, so were looking for people who like being outdoors whatever the weather, youll also be someone who likes the idea of doing a job that will help you keep fit.Some experience in a customer facing role would be ideal.Driving licence requirements:A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), with no more than six penalty points is essential, but a clean licence is preferred.
