Summary Would you like to be part of our hard working team whose aims are to care for our beautiful places, both indoors and out, in a safe, compliant manner, in order to best share them with each and every one of our welcome visitorsIf you can lead a small, high performing team of staff and volunteers on the ground, on a daily basis, to ensure delivery of the very highest of standards, whilst welcoming challenge and variety, then this is the job for you.As someone who is not phased by the changing demands of varied operational requirements, you will have direct experience of facilities or business systems management, as well as an eagerness to embrace the wide ranging scope of activities with which thisrole has involvement.Hours: 30 hours per weekContract: permanent What its like to work here Primarily based at our flagship property of Ightham Mote, this is a job split post which has significant learning and development opportunities for the right candidate. Whilst initially part time(4 full days or flexible hours), there is the identified prospectof a full time post within the year. Visitors lose themselves in this romantic moated manor house, described as one of the most beautiful and interesting of English country houses. The wide variety of our in hand buildings and their context, provide a fascinatingongoing challenge, to ensure they are sustainably cared for for ever, for everyone.Click here for more information about this location What youll be doing This is a practical, hands on role, whilst sustaining the joint aim of maintaining our systems and processes to keep up to date with all mandatory and service delivery requirements.From managing small projects and contractors on site, to planning and involvement in wider priorities, no two days are the same. Leading on fire safety, security, emergency planning and water management the role also involves the reactive response to supportour buildings infrastructure, presentation and visitor needs, working with other site and regional colleagues. Who were looking for

  • Facilities Management and business services across the property
  • Leading a team of staff and volunteers, working collaboratively with other Heads of Department and property teams as well as regional colleagues, in order to deliver excellent standards of compliance, maintenance, business services and customer serviceacross the property
  • Working within appropriate Trust procedures and conservation guidelines
  • Managing our premises, equipment, environmental, and compliance systems to ensure the safe, sustainable, effective, and cost-efficient operation of the property
  • Managing provision of cleaning across the property
  • Ensure effective and efficient business services for your portfolio including data and records management, responses and queries, correspondence and communication with suppliers, supporters, and visitors along with administration for compliance, finance,and procurement.
