Job Description

Located in West Sussex, this coeducational secondary school and sixth form offers a comprehensivecurriculum and boasts a strong tradition of academic success, complemented by a dynamic extracurricular programme.Day-to-day of the role:

  • Teach English across all key stages, adhering to the national curriculum.
  • Prepare students for their GCSE and A-level examinations.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work, assessment materials, and enrichment activities.
  • Maintain high expectations for both personal performance and student achievement.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that inspire a love of English and learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A relevant degree and a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification in English.
  • Proven successful teaching experience in English at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively.
