Job Description

Firstly the important basics before you read further! This is a new and Salaried role for our Group of associated businesses, which means the pay range you see advertised is exactly what you will earn, and not an OTE. We pay and reward based on the effortwe know our great people put in and not for them to chase fluctuating commissions.As above, this is a new and developmental post for an ambitious individual to bring some of your existing workplace B2B customer facing experience to us, but in turn for us to then train you on our diverse range of successful business, all within a longestablished family owned structure.After all, why learn about just one business, when you can have the potential, over the longer term, to learn about up to 11WHO ARE WEOur Group of eleven connected businesses includes one of the leading producers of quality building sands, silica sands, crushed concrete, and recycled aggregates in South East England. Our other sectors covered include recycling, quarries, and haulage. Allour enterprises are based upon acting responsibly, delivering quality, and building long-term relationships.YOUR ROLE- The overall purpose is to to work with external customers and colleagues across the group of businesses, and is responsible for managing the relationship with existing customers, and bringing in new sales.- You will be managing the relationships with those existing customers via effective communication, and identifying opportunities to maximise sales.- Utilising professional social media platforms to maximum effect, to promote the company and its services, whilst reporting on sales activities on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.That is just for starters: this is a varied role, and we want you to make as much of the opportunities as you can.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR- B2B Sales and/or Telesales experience would be preferable to B2C customer experience - quality of that experience outweighs quantity alone. Any knowledge of our sector(s) would be a bonus but is not essential.- Highly motivated, with a strong commercial focus, equally strong communication, customer service, and negotiation and persuasion skills.- Good analytical skills along with good organisation and planning.- A relevant degree in a business / finance related area would be highly beneficial.- Finally - a willingness to learn and develop yourself further!NEXT STEPS:We are an equal opportunities employer, and value the diversity of all our employees.
