Job Description

Our Client are looking for an experienced and passionate Approved Electrician.Within a friendly, flexible working environment we offer a very competitive salary based on experience with overtime if desired, performance-based bonuses plus van, mobile phone and pension.Day-to-day tasks are likely to involve:

  • Working as an individual or as part of a team on project installation works covering all aspects of electrical installation for blue-chip clients on unique and technically challenging projects.
  • CAT5e/6/6A structured cabling, Fibre Optic, Coaxial & Audio-Visual installations. (On-site training provided for Structured cabling & Audio-Visual elements)
  • Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports to BS7671 within large commercial premises. Completion of Full Electrical Installation & Minor works certificates will also be required.
  • Managing projects on site from a value of £5k all the way up to £750k+, supervising both permanent and sub-contract labour where necessary.
You will need the following qualifications and skill set
  • Minimum JIB Approved with at least 15years experience working in commercial premises
  • Must have minimum 18th Edition with good knowledge of BS7671.
  • 2391 or 2394/2395 Qualifications or they can show that they can meet the equivalent standard.
  • Must possess good customer service & interpersonal skills
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Proficient IT and computing skills
  • Be willing to work in a flexible manner, working nights, weekends and away from home at times.
Its a fully on the tools role, taking a role as a lead engineer. Depending on the job, it may change exactly what they are doing. Most days would be carrying out installations working with an apprentice, on their own or another electrician. At times onlarger projects, they may find themselves looking after other electricians, sub-contractors, agency, making sure the site is running well, looking after materials etc with the assistance of a project manager.Salary would be around 50-60k dependent on the candidate.
