Jackson Hogg is delighted to be partnered with a leading Biotechnology company based in the North East of England, who develop pathogen detection systems to identify biological threats. At present, they are seeking a scientist to join their team with experiencean industrial setting performing molecular biology techniques to implement the protocols that are developed in-house, record the procedures followed and record all findings. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and and will report to adiverse group of scientists.The Role:You will be responsible for the day to day running of the lab and maintenance of instruments, working alongside the rest of the research team carrying out molecular techniques to assist in the development of pathogen detection systems. You will work as partof a collaborative team and must have excellent knowledge and previous wet lab experience carrying out molecular biology techniques including PCR, nucleic acid purification and amplification, next generation sequencing, western blotting, cell line maintenanceand transfection.Requirements:BSc or Equivalent in Biological Sciences (Masters degree preferable)Previous industry experience conducting molecular techniques to GxP standardsA driven personality with excellent collaborative/communication skillsIf you are interested in this position and would like to apply, get in touch with Eleanor at Jackson Hogg.
